A review of the top Church CMS products

Church Community Builder

Church Community Builder

CCB currently works with over 1,000 churches, from brand new church plants to established mega-churches. CCB not a content management system, but a church management system that can be integrated into an existing website. For this reason they partner with ElementFusion and SkyCMS to offer there customers a wider array of services. However, my review only includes the services specifically provided by CBB, not their partners. Here are some cool CBB features not included in my list that are worth noting: PDA mobile and iPhone interfaces, room booking for events and attendance tracking with self or group check-ins.

Features:
• Sermon Module
• Events and Registration
• Member Manager
• Member Site Integration
• Articles
• Photo Galleries
• Ecommerce
• Donate Manager
• Discussion Forums
• Newsletter Module
• Web-based
• Tech Support

  1. I’m currently reviewing vendors and am very interested in CCB. I thought this would be a great resource for me, but it isn’t. The misleading thing is the SCORE (which implies a score of their abilities). While it’s true that they offer 12 of the 37 possible areas, I’m more interested in whether they’re good at the 12 they provide than what they offer.
    Thanks

  2. I’ve worked with this software and I’m not impressed. Very costly, very limited and sneaky tactics.

  3. Ugh – why do most CMS solutions for churches focus just on check in? These days with custody battles and worse, secure check out is just as important – if not more important – than checking kids in!

Ensuring our volunteers have enough information to safely hand a child over to whoever is picking them up is of paramount importance to us – and very few vendors, especially among the integrated package vendors, bother to address this huge need!
