Your grading system seems to unduly favor vendors who are more expensive (or have expensive requirements) and are take much more time to set up. Why cater to the upper 15% of churches who have tons of options anyway?
The average sized church in the US is 115. The small church is not looking to spend $5k to 25k to get a totally unique website. They are working to keep the heat on in the winter and afford another pastor.
Jerry, thanks for the input. The ranking system merely illustrates what features each CMS offers. Smaller churches usually do not need as many features as the mega-churches, and therefore the less expensive companies who offer less components would suit them perfectly. The ranking system does not mean that the top CMS companies are the best for every church, some of the companies who did not score as high have excellent client reviews. Take Clover for instance, they have the least amount of flexibility and facets for a church website, but had some of the best client feedback. Though their templates are limited, they are modern and eye-catching and they can integrate key components to further your ministry like a sermon module and online donations. Hope that was helpful!
Why isn’t Gutensite considered? They are one of the best CMS’s around.

They really ought to rank by value for services received. We are dropping all the so called “church services” because we are able to get custom design in a CMS environment for way less than any of these guys charge. Yes, the up front is still there, but the monthly fee is gone and the value is WAY higher. WAY, WAY higher. We found a company that thinks of church site design as a ministry (www.pulsecreativepartners.com). They still make money (they have to eat), but they are not going to lay waste to our budget like the others do.
